In Embodied Porn Watching, there are two pivotal practices that can offer you a whole new porn-watching experience. These practices are not difficult to learn. The first is to Stand up and Move as you enjoy the porn. The second, which we call the Pendulum, involves bringing your attention to your body every so often. These two simple practices offer an effective strategy to break old habits and learn new ways of being playful and creative.

Stand and Move3:54 min
We are not suggesting any specific movements, but only that you allow your body the freedom to move. Your movement could be as simple as swaying from side to side and moving your weight from one foot to the other. Perhaps you’ll be inspired by the rhythms of the sex you are watching. The more relaxed and playful your movement becomes, the more your body can vibrate with feelings of joy and pleasure. Standing for two or three sessions will get you beyond the awkwardness of starting something new. Remember to raise your computer to shoulder height and slightly bend your knees.

Pendulum3:48 min
This practice is simple. Bring your attention away from the erotic video to your own body for five breaths. You can pause the video or just close your eyes. As you breathe, scan through your body, noticing the places of most pleasure. During the Pendulum, most people continue to move and stimulate themselves, but some pay attention better with stillness. The point here is to place your attention on what’s happening in your body. After five breaths, return your attention to the video. You can do the pendulum as often as you wish.
