In this course you will learn how to engage the capacities of the respiratory system more fully, by breathing into the belly and the pelvis. You can consciously use your breath to move your body into a more excited, orgasm-focused state and/or to relax your physiology and quiet your mind. You have here a tool box of techniques employing breath, visualization, and muscle movement. You can use these tools to achieve a variety of embodied states, and explore the intersection of sex and spirit. Your practice may involve the circulation of cool, unaroused sexual energy or of hot, juicy sexual energy, alone or with a partner. This course is an invitation to cultivate a relationship with breath as an inner lover. Human beings are designed so that our sexual system is pleasured and stimulated with every breath.

Sexuality is a vital energy that is generated continuously within the human body.... We can refine our awareness of this energy, and access all of its joy and power, by simply listening to - and playing with - our breath.

Breath is an inner lover, entering each cell of our bodies, bringing pleasure and renewal to all parts of our being. Breath is the mind's best teacher; breath helps the mind open, and release its anxieties. Breath is inspiration and spirit. Breath happens unconsciously yet can be controlled by our conscious minds; breath is a bridge. Breathing fully, we engage the muscles of the pelvic floor and stimulate the genital nerves. Breath is erotic and joyful.

This class includes seven individual audio recordings of different breathing patterns for you to breathe with online. These recordings were also designed so you can use them on any mobile device as a conscious breathing practice. We breathe to live, and we breathe more than 20,000 times a day. The Big Draw--Stretching

The Big Draw is another breath practice I often teach in Sexological Bodywork sessions. Developed by Dr. Joseph Kramer, this breath combines both arousing and relaxing breath. The Big Draw is often used to climax an erotic massage. It can also be enjoyed as a separate practice, and integrated with both massage and self-pleasuring.

This practice uses breath and muscles to change states of consciousness rather quickly. The tensions between inhalation and exhalation of breath, and between clenching and releasing of muscles give rise to new neurological possibilities. At various times after a Big Draw, both my students and I can report experiencing a sense of sacred energy streaming through the body, visions, feelings of bliss, and awakenings to new capacities within ourselves and the world around us.

This video demonstrates one of the many ways of doing the Big Draw. My breathing pattern here is two sniffs in and then relaxing. This builds up energy in the body. The video finishes with a whole-body stretch.

This practice begins with alternate nostril breathing to integrate and awaken both sides of the body and brain. For the purpose of this exercise, don't make it too complicated. Hold one nostril shut, exhale first, then inhale, then switch and hold the other nostril shut, exhale and then inhale. You can do this for awhile. 

Caffyn then guides you through a sequence of breaths including accelerated breath and Fire Breathing. Again, notice and savor any aroused sensations you may feel in your body, including tingling, shivers or kriyas (delightful small, orgasmic sensations). If you feel anything like this, go with it! Express the feelings fully with the movement of your body, and with sound. And don't worry if you feel nothing of the sort. Being present with whatever is happening in your body is enough.

This practice is an energizer that can awaken your body's capacity for pleasure and your feelings of vitality and aliveness. Use it instead of coffee, sugar, and other artificial stimulants. It is a natural way to address feelings of hunger, fatigue, depression, low erotic energy, and low self-esteem. Lie on your back on a mat with eyes closed, and let Caffyn lead you through a short visualization followed by a period of deep breathing. As guided by Caffyn, you can shift your attention back and forth from your breath, to your body sensation, and back to your breath. Shifting from one focus to another, you have an opportunity to inhibit distraction and stay fully present with the practice and all the feelings that arise in you with sustained, deep breath. This journey can be profound, and joyous. If any negative or frightening feelings start to arise, just let your breath subside.
